Disneyland Part 1

We had SO much fun at Disneyland. I wish we were still there, honestly I wish we lived there...maybe one day! I want to write a detailed blog about it, so I'm going to do it in a few different blogs. There's also going to be  A LOT of pictures so enjoy :)

We decided to drive, just because it was cheaper to split it between us 2 and our friends, McKinzie and David. They have a daughter 4 weeks older than Harper and they are BEST friends, so they had a lot of fun. We left about 10 at night so the girls could just sleep. The girls carseats were forward facing because we couldn't fit them both in the van rear facing, and there was also a DVD player for them to watch movies on the drive, which was nice. Well Harper didn't get the memo that it was bedtime on the drive there. She woke up as soon as I put her in her carseat and was awake until THREE O CLOCK. She kept saying MAMA, DADA, MAMA, no no no, thank you, MAAAAMAAAAAA, and many more, all while Austyn, Kinzie and David were trying to sleep. It was so stressful, but so funny. I think she was so distracted by being front facing she just didn't want to fall asleep. She slept for about 2 and a half hours luckily, but that didn't help much.

We got there around 8 or 9 in the morning, but we couldn't check into our hotel until 1 or so. So we ate breakfast and then went to my mom and dads hotel. They had planned a trip to California for my dads birthday, which just happened to be the same time we were there. So we went to their hotel and we all got a little sleep. Harper was so upset when she woke up, I guess that's what 3 hours of sleep can do to you! But it was nice to get a little nap in. Well we finally checked into the hotel and got all settled in. Later that night, we went to the beach and ate dinner at Rubys Diner on the pier. It was so windy and cold, but it was still fun. We saw a sea lion! It was one of the coolest moments ever. I'm obsessed with that kind of stuff. We went to play in the ocean after dinner. Kinzie and I played in the water, while my mom and the boys and the girls played in the sand. Harper loved playing on the beach, she just danced in the water and giggled. But it was so cold she didn't go all the way in. I wish we could have stayed longer but it was getting late also. We came back and got a good nights rest. Harper did NOT want to wake up in the morning. Daniel put a funny video of it on facebook if anyone wants to see it. She woke up and went to the door and was just so confused, it was so funny. Anyway, we headed out on the shuttle, and went to Disneyland! We had a program we downloaded called RideMax that tells us which rides to go on at what times, and it worked so well. We headed over to Big Thunder Mountain and literally walked on. It was a perfect first ride. We then went on Dumbo, Harper seemed to love it, but was kind of scared also. I think she was just confused on what was going on. We met my mom and dad there and they got the girls some ears with their names on it. They looked SO cute. I also made her outfit for the first day. Yes I go a little crazy when going to Disneyland, and for her first time she had to look cute ;) Here's some pictures of the story so far.
(for some reason these are small pictures,...look at them on facebook for a better view)
She was SO tired

Cuties

Things are a little blurry after all that since our day was so crazy, But I know we met Belle, again Harper DID not like her, and all she was was a girl in a prom dress? Weirdo! I think we went on it's a small world after that. Ok she was obsessed with that. My mom and dad were there, which was such a cool thing. That ride is so special to me and for all of us to go on it together meant something. She loved it so much, and so did I. I will try upload videos, but i'm not sure I can. Then we went on Alice In Wonderland. She did really good on that, I just wore her in the Tula in line and she was almost asleep at that point. Then we went to an all you can eat barbecue place by Big Thunder Mountain. It was pretty good! And entertaining.  Then the adults RAN to Splash Mountain because we had fast passes. My parents watched the girls for a bit. Splash Mountain is probably all of our favorite rides at Disneyland. So we got on super fast because of the fast passes, we all had ponchos and we all still got pretty wet toward the first of the ride. Well while we were on the ramp going up the mountain, it broke down! So we were stuck on that ramp for about 10-15 min, until they had to escort us off. It sucked but it was also really cool. We all noticed how cool it was that when we got escorted out, it was like a hidden back area. We had no idea where we were because they hide things so well there. They gave us all four fast passes to any ride in the whole park. We were sad it broke down, but knew we could go on it again another day.

Somewhere in that time we went to Toontown. Toontown is old but it is so cute. Me and Daniel went on Roger Rabbit and my mom and dad waited in line to see Donald Duck. We knew Harper would cry but we don't go to Disneyland that often, so we just met him anyway. My dad got some good pictures of us with him, she didn't even want to wait in line, But I love Donald! He was so cute. We also went to Mickeys cute house and met him. Again, she cried, but it's MICKEY MOUSE! She was fine 2 seconds after, so it's ok :) I think not too long after that she fell asleep, and Daniel and I walked Main Street with her. I love Main Street. It was nice not to be so rushed and just take our time and enjoy everything. We then met my mom and dad again and enjoyed some Ice cream. Harper woke up and wanted some, and danced all over the tables. She gets away with anything with those grandparents! We said goodbye to my mom and dad, they are old and wanted to go rest ;) We headed over to the Jungle Cruise. I love that ride! Harper had a lot of fun on that one too. Then I think we did the Tiki room, I think that was Austyns favorite ride. Harper just signed bird the whole time, and wanted to sit on her own and just walk around, but she still liked it. Then I think we did Haunted Mansion, she also did very good on that one, despite it being a haunted ride. Then we used our fast passes for Buzz Lightyear at the end of the night. Harper thought that was so weird but so fun. I think that was about it for the first day, I can't remember honestly. They didn't have fireworks or a parade that day which was sad, but that's ok. We didn't do a ton of things, but we did as much as we could and wanted to with 2 baby girls. Plus we had 2 other days to enjoy.  There was a lot of rides the girls could ride on, and a lot of things they could do, I am so grateful for that. It truly is the happiest place on earth!  Here's the rest of the pictures for the first day.

Well I think that's it for day one. I know it was long but it was the perfect day!

This would be why I don't write blogs. I have an 18 month old child who insists on helping me. But I just wanted to do a quick update on our lives as of the last 6 months or so.

First off, we moved to Morgan. We live in the back apartment of my parents house. It's cozy but it works for us. We are just trying to save as much money as possible.

Daniel got a job working at Wal Mart. They are graveyards right now, so things are a little crazy but we make it work. He starts school again in the fall, and should graduate in April 2016! YAY! He has been going to school for so long, it's strange to think of him being done.

I also started school at the DATC again for cosmetology. I went back in 2010 before I got married, but took some time off because I was so busy at that time. We just decided it was the best for our family for me to start over and get done as quickly as possible. So again, we are so busy, our schedule and our lives are insane, and will be even more insane once I am on the floor, but we will make it work. I still want to be a stay at home mom, but have this under my belt so I have options. But I love doing it so far, at least Harper will always have cute hair ;) I admit it's hard to be away from Harper, I miss her a lot, and things are just going to get crazier. She is going through a major mommy phase where she is obsessed with me, but I think she will get better. It's nice having my mom and dad in the same house to help with her when me and Daniel are busy with school and work.

We just got back from a trip to Disneyland, but I will post about this in another blog. We had such a fun time and made so many good memories.

Nothing else has really happened, just having a crazy life! I'm trying to blog more, but not sure how that will work.

A little update

I thought it was time to update my blog! It's been a while, I know. I get in these moods where I want to write a lot, and then I don't write again for a long time. So we will see how long this lasts :) I just wanted to do an update on our lives. (I'm also in the process of changing the layout of the blog, I know it's VERY plain right now, my apologies)

We went to Texas for Christmas to visit Daniel's family. It was a lot of fun, just kind of stressful with a baby though. She was very very attached to me the whole time. She wanted me there the whole time and if I left the room she would throw a fit and cry so hard. Then she would be fine, then I would come back in the room and she would want me again. She did okay though for being away from her comfort zone. But again it was definitely stressful. But Christmas was good, it was hard being away from snow, but the weather was still pretty cold there, which I liked! It was a good visit, and was good to see everyone! We also celebrated with my parents the morning before we left, here's some pictures of that morning, and some in Texas (I got a new phone so I don't have a ton of Texas ones) My dad said that the Disney stock probably went way up that day because about 80% of the things Harper got (and myself) was Disney. Lol!

Daniel is still going to school but luckily only has to go all day Tuesdays and half day Thursdays, so that is nice. He is trying to find a job on Mon, Wed, and Fri though, but that may be hard. I am also in the process of going back to cosmetology school, but I don't know whats going to happen with that until Wednesday because of my previous hours and a problem with them paying for it, ugh. But I'm excited. I love staying home with Harper, but I know there will never be a good time to finish, and so I am going to finish as fast as I can so I can stay home with her again, or decide to work a few hours a week.

Harper has had a few accidents lately. She gets into things shes not supposed to. A few days back she was pushing the kitchen chairs around, she really likes to do that, and she tripped over a toy and fell back and the chair pinned her down, she now has a huge bruise on her poor head :( And then yesterday the gate was left open to the kitchen, Daniel was in the living room and I was upstairs doing laundry, well she snuck her way into the kitchen and opened the garbage can lid and grabbed an empty can of corn, stuck her hand in there and on the way out sliced her finger :( so we ran to the doctor and luckily she just had to get a few layers of glue since it was in a good spot. Stitches would have been sooooo traumatizing, I would have bawled my eyes out along with her! She did SOOO good the whole time. We had to wait at the doctors for a while and she just sat there and cuddled, ate snacks, watched a movie, she didn't cry at all except when it happened. So they glued it and everything, and then this afternoon after her nap I looked at it and it was off! I can garentee she bit it off because there was a bite mark on her index finger, woops! So we called the doctor again and they said if its not gaping open, just try to keep a bandage on it. Well that didn't last long with a 14 month old! So we are just trying to keep neosporin on it and trying to wrap it  but she's not a huge fan. I'm just glad she's ok and didn't have to get stitches. It was so scary and so sad! But like I said, she did soooo good. I love that little girl!

Poor little babe :(

Just cuddling with dad and eating snacks

Poor bruisy head!

I'm also in the process of weaning her. She's actually done a lot better than I thought she would. I bet she could be completely done if we tried, but I don't want to completely quit all at the same time. So I'm glad that's going well.

Life is pretty good right now, not much else to say! I will try to better at updating!

Harper's First Birthday Party!

I know I am the queen of blogging (not really, have no time, just don't care much these days!) but I decided to put Harper's first birthday party in a blog instead of clogging up facebook with the 70928093 pics.

First off it went so well! Mostly everyone came I invited (except Texas family but that's understandable ;)) We had it in our small apartment, just because I didn't want to set up everything right before in a church or something and be stressed. It turned out really cute though. I have been working on it for months, and my mom helped me A TON. I wouldn't have been able to do it without her. And I owe pretty much everything to Pinterest. My sister in law said "I never did this for my kids" and I said it's because Pinterest didn't exist back then!

Anyway here are some pictures!

This took me a while to make because I didn't want to buy one on Etsy. I'm quite proud of how it tuned out actually.

Here's a better pictures except it's sideways. I would have done a few things different if I had a chance, but it took forever I didn't want to do it again!

Sebastian Crab Sandwiches

Dinglehoppers, Flouders Friends

Octopuses

Oyster Pearls

Ariels Kelp Grapes, Goldfish, Pirates Booty

Peanut Butter and Jellyfish, Fish and Chips, we also had some spinach dip that we labeled Seaweed Dip but forgot to put it when the pictures were taken.
Didn't get a good picture of the other things but there was Sea Water, Shark Teeth made out of cheese
But this was a few of them before the party

And I didn't even think of getting a close up of the Jello because time was so crunched, but we made Blue Ocean Jello as you can see with whipped cream, crushed up graham crackers and a gold fish on top! Turned out super cute. We also had water sounds in the kitchen so it really sounded like you were Under the Sea!!
And then heres a few decorations, I didn't take pictures of everything but you get the gist.

Then after the food we opened presents, which I will post in another blog so this doesn't drag on and on, but I will post some smash cake pictures!

I forgot to take picture of the cupcakes, so here is one them. Turned out soooo cute.

We just had Wal Mart do the smash cake and I was VERY impressed. It was absolutely perfect!
She was so excited, she dug right in!

She has to have her mouth open in every picture! Right before her bath.

So that was it. It was perfect!
