Texas

We got back from Texas about a week ago! It was really fun and surprisingly not that hot! Everyone LOVED Harper, how can you not :)

Well getting there was hard. I never realized how hard it was to travel until I had a baby. IT IS HARD. Packing, planning nap time, nursing in public, trying to make sure she doesn't cry and annoy the other people, carrying the stroller with all the luggage, worrying about her ears, the plane going crazy and making us all sick. It's HARD! But we did it, and we are alive, and it was a new adventure for us!

We made it to Hutto and relaxed and said hi to everyone, then on Sunday we had a remembrance of life for Granddad. It was really good and very sad. Harper actually slept in the spare room by herself, which she never does, she is usually held for her naps. It worked out perfectly. She woke up towards the end and made everyone happy! Here are a few pictures from that day.

I think Harper was done with pictures!

We had many adventures but I think my favorite was the drive thru safari and Sea World. Again, it was a little hard doing all this with a baby, but we did it! The Drive Thru Safari was really cool, they had exotic animals that came right up to your car and you could feed them! A zebra was right by our car, and one strange animal stuck his head in the window and pulled my straw right out of my cup and tried to eat it! It was hilarious. Sea World was really fun also, I really enjoyed the small shows they had there, some were really funny. We were all really tired on the way home though, and Harper definitely didn't want to be in her carseat...But it was a great memory we will always remember!

Harper was a very good baby the whole time. The only time she would fuss or cry was when she was hungry, tired, or in her car seat, which SHE HATES. And sometimes when she couldn't see me or when I wasn't holding her. But she did very good. She is such a flirt and has to smile at everyone. She loves to smile at random strangers and talk to them to get their attention, then once she does, she giggles and they giggle back. People just adore her. Here's some more pictures.

Being a big girl (she lasts about 10 minutes in a high chair)

Just relaxing. She loves her sunglasses
